I have had my frustrations with Upper Deck over the Goudey set, where I finally decided to dump the set, and I was just about to have a personal boycott against buying any of their product ever again, but today I recieved this card in the mail for a replacement redemption, that wasn't worth much, so I am ending my boycott.
THANKS UD!
Sweet card, but not exactly my cup of tea...up for sale.

I must have gotten a ton of them over the years as replacements for redemption cards.
Serial numbered, non numbered.
I think they have a direct line to Kens signing hand...
That gives me great hope for what I may get from a UD redemption that I had totally forgotten about until I noticed that it was listed as inventory depleted and to contact customer service. [It was a hockey rookie card.] They asked me about favorite players/teams, and I indicated that the LA/OC teams in all sports are my favorites.
I have my fingers crossed for something of Bynum or Kobe.

<< <i>How do you get a redemption card? Maybe I have one and don't realize it... >>
It's normally a white card with tiny print explaining what you get and a little scratch off area on the front, just like a scratch off lotto ticket.
I might try and get the player named on my 14 or so failed redemptions, to actually sign the redemptions.

<< <i>That is a cool card,What does something like this go for?

The ebay link is in the first message...up to $200 so far....am hoping for $300.
<< <i>hofautos - I think I missed your thread on the troubles you had with the Goudey set...I bought two boxes of Goudey (retail) and EVERY, and I mean EVERY short print card was badly off center. Is it worth complaining to them about this? >>
My complaints went far beyond that...if oc was my only problem, i would have never dumped the set. My biggest complaint was false advertising, such as advertising players that will never be in the auto set (ie maddux), and most are so Short print that it would be near impossible to complete, not to mention the tiger sold for $8K PLUS, and that almost all the tigers went through some "cousin", before ever going on ebay...makes you wonder. They also won't number or disclose how many of each auto. I could go on and on...i will just say I don't trust UD. I don't even want to think about it anymore.
Just curious, what was the redemtion originaly?
Very nice card!!!!!

<< <i>Wow. A positive thread about UD. Good to see one. I guess they can make right sometimes. Nice card! >>
I was about to start a negative one Just kidding
I mean, I have been waiting since August of 2007 for a redemption, but i'm hoping it will come any day now, lol. I don't want to call them yet because I don't want them to say that they'll give me something else in exchange, I want my card
Or when it becomes a year wait, then i'll call them to ask for a Jordan Auto

They could make any card at a drop of a hat. I remember all the special Jordan GU cards specially created for some of the employees that they got instead of getting year end bonuses. The employees would run down to the local card shop (when UD was located in Carlsbad) and sell them for 2-3k (nice Xmas bonus). The were numbered up to an odd number like 238 or something like that.

They still do that every year for employees. This year was a Kobe,Jordan,James, and Durant card. I believe they were going for around $150 on ebay.

That's funny. I once waited 18 months on an UD redemption with a value of $80. When I finally gave up and asked for an exchange, I told them I liked Griffey Jr and the guy from UD told me they could probably find a suitable replacement card for me in that value range.
A week later I get a package from UD with a Jamal Lewis auto rc and an Edgerrin James game used card.
They must've run out of Junior autos that week.
Edited to say: Good luck on your eBay sale, that is one sweet looking card.
