Mickey Mantle McFarlane Figurines ...

Any market for these? Saw a few at Toys 'R' Us tonight.

  • I looked at the Mantle and a few of the other new Cooperstown figures at a shop last week. I wasn't impressed with the Mantle, but if I find the Aaron, and it looks like Hammerin' Hank, I'll bring it home.

  • Yeah, the had the Aaron, too.

Wasn't terribly impressed with either one.

  • Do you guys take them out of the package? I rip mine open to display them. The problem is they take up so much space when you build a decent sized collection. Does anyone have any good ideas for displaying them without using a lot of space? I thought about putting 4" deep shelves along my walls.
  • I only own 2, a Brooks Robinson and a Cal Ripken, and they both sit side by side on my bedroom dresser. I don't think I'd want a big collection of these, heck the unopened Beatles figures we have nearly take up an entire room!

I love McFarlanes, but between my All Star vinyl, starting lineup and McFarlane figures its starting to become a space issue. May have to start ripping open the packages and figure a way to display them or sell them. I may have to go to Toys R Us tomorrow.image
  • I have the SLAPSHOT series with the Hanson Brothers ... That's about it.

    They are cool, though.

Guess I have a D-DAY from ANIMAL HOUSE, too.
