FSHO : 1957 Lincoln Cent PCGS 66RB

PCGS 66RB Lincoln Cents sometimes have the most spectacular toning of all the color designations. Oftentimes, this toning is the result of the coin having spent significant time in a double Mint set (perhaps all of its life) of the era 1949 - 1958. Monster Lincoln Toners are known to have come from these mint sets and are highly sought after by Lincoln specialists and toner lovers in general.
The coin I have for your consideration here is NOT one the monster toners described above. In fact, I think that the nice toning that has resulted on the obverse on this coin is the result of being an "end-of-the-roll" coin and not from having spent time in a double Mint set.
The obverse is very pretty with subtle magenta toning on Lincoln's coat, hair and parts of the fields. The reverse is nowhere near as nice and could aptly be described as not being particulary attractive. It is dark, probably one-half being brown and the other half being reddish-brown. There are some carbon spots.
