Should I pay the extra $1 ????

I won an auction from the infamous shoeless-joejackson on ebay a few days ago. In his item description he states that he will charge $1 for every $50. My item ended up at $47 and he is charging me $2 for insurance. (not to mention the $4.75 for shipping, but I already knew this before bidding so I'm okay with it.) I've written him three messages asking for him to send me an invoice with the correct insurance ammount. I haven't received a corrected invoice as of today. The dollar isn't going to kill me but the principle of the matter is bugging the hell out of me. To pay or not to pay?

    Do not pay.
  • I second that. Do not pay.

  • I would just pay it and tell him to send me a payment of a buck, lol. He has high feedbacks and lots of emails to get to, so he probably didn't get to answer it yet. To make things go smooth and fast I would just pay so he could send it fast, and then if you want ask for the buck back image

I'm pretty sure he won't mind giving you a buck back!

people on ebay kill me- i had a guy ask me how to buy an item the other day- hit the button that says bid or buy it nowimage
  • I do appreciate the feedback. I have thought a couple of times that this seller doesn't even look at his emails. I only do about 10-15 transactions a week so I don't understand how hectic it could be. Anybody on here do 100+ transactions a week?

Thats all it is, he got a million emails to answer to. People asking questions about cards, about shipping, above invoices, you name it!

Don't worry, he will give you the money back. To show him theres no problem jusy pay the amount it says, and then you will see him returning your money thats owed image

  • There's a guy in another state collecting sales tax on every sale - charging the sales tax for YOUR state - no way he's actually sending the money on to each state every month, it's going straight into his pocket.

I've actually pondered (cough cough) reporting him, but I'm sure someone will hang him out to dry, eventually.
