The 1866 and 1869 are rarely seen below AU/UNC. To me, those are the cream of the Philly dates from 1863-1890. The other ones, even the 1867 and 1868 show up more often imo.
roadrunner
Seated quarters, in my opinion, are still way undervalued, even after the recent price gains.
<< <i>Cool coin. Roadrunner, as you know these dates are rarely seen in UNC either, around 10 -12 specimens for some of these dates. They are not too far off in rarity to some of the -S coins. I own the PCGS graded MS66, a pop 1/0. Unfortunately no pictures handy, but it is an extremely flashy piece with blue and rose toning, and very well struck.

That most be one helluva coin you got there Mr Ronyahski...would love to see a picture of that and I also believe these are undervalued. I was happy to pay a 30% premium to grey sheet on mine.

A Proof and 3 Business strikes.
One of the 1869 business strike quarters is uncirculated.
It is scratched with something like "Mother ER 14 May" on the obverse.

I think you were right in not letting grey sheet slow you down. They are the ones that have some catching up to do.
Check out the upcoming Central States Platinum auction, you'll find my 1869.
Now there's a tough one!!
Great find!!!

<< <i>That is a great date and one that i have been watching for a while. What is greysheet on the VF -EF range? I haven't gotten a graysheet lately. >>
I think somewhere around $850 to 950.
