67 clemente crackout... opinions wanted

ok.. i just cracked this out and found a little wax residue on the front that I was able to remove...
this card actually looks nicer out of the case then it did in...
can anybody advise on the centering???

do you think the stain was holding it back.. what is your guess?? will be sending this in soon

    It's a straight 7 if my recent submission is any indication. Seems like they're gradually getting harder on the centering of 7 vs 8 vs 9

    Enough eye appeal for an 8, but rarely do you get benefit of the doubt on a HOF. 7.5.

    7.. But it looks like 9 corners... borderline centering.. but have seen much worse in an 8 holder

    The t/b centering is an eye-appeal issue.

    BUT, depending on how bad the wax was, that
    might have been the problem.

    the wax was noticeable when held to light.. but now is not...
    it was on the top left corner area by BOB... couple cm roundish
    I noticed it right away

    I'd give it a 7.5 due to centering and very, very minor tilt (unless the scan is making it look that way to me).

    That card should definately be an 8. The corners are high end 8's. I believe the centering is well within the guidelines for an 8. I'd like to buy it. How much?

    Looks like a pretty solid 8. All corners look nice front and back. The only real concern is obviously t-b centering, which is about 33/67, which is within 30/70 allowance. Good luck.

    Looks like a solid 8 (and I could see an 8.5 before a 7.5)! Great card!

    The corners are beautiful / beautiful color front and back

    The Top to bottom is an issue

    The bottom right of the card's border is an issue as it is not even all the way through, looks like a slight taper although it is not noticable on the left of the card .

    The only issue I see on the reverse is His Name tapering upward and I don't know if they take that into consideration .

    I would say a 7 with a possible .5 bump for sure .

    :Edited to add: I wish the 1970 Munson I picked up yesterday looked that good .

    submit it up to 4 times and it will get an 8 on 1 of them, probably the 2nd or 3rd. the centering t/b on the left side is on the 7/8 borderline. the rest is phenomenal looking by the scan. great card!
