No offense to anyone who collects this type of stuff, but that card does absolutely nothing for me. You can't manufacture desirability IMO...especially by ruining pieces of the past.
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

I actually totally disagree. There is and always will be PLENTY of this type of historical memorabilia fully intact and either made available to the precious few who can afford it, or in museums, the Hall of Fame, etc. These cards are an outstanding way for the every-day collector to hold and keep some very special pieces of NFL game worn history. In a perfect world, any one who wanted to own a piece of one of Jack Lambert's game worn jersey, or a piece of one of Red Grange's game worn helmut, or a piece of one of Tom Landry's game worn jackets, would need to be able to afford them fully intact and whole, BIG $$$. Unfortunately the reality of it is that this is no where near the case and these cards allow many collectors to experience, touch, and own parts of the game worn items from these historical sports icons.
