Has the 52 Topps Pafko been counterfeited?

See title for my question. I am wanting a really low condition on for my really low condition set that I am working on. I prefer raw, but I don't want a counterfeit.

The 1952T Pafko has been reprinted several times by Topps, in the "new" 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" size; all are marked. It has never been "counterfeited," but that being said, with today's proliferation and quality of scanners and printers, it would be relatively easy to make a good-looking fake. However, if you're going for a low-grade example, there should be no worries, because it wouldn't be worth the time and effort to counterfeit a low-grade Pafko. Your best defense is to get a known genuine example of a 1952 Topps card, preferably a 1st Series (#1-88) card, so you can compare the paper stock, front gloss, etc. Good luck!
