Conder tokens.... and once you start buying them there is no stopping . Great Britian's version of hard times tokens . There are hundreds of them . Don't know the exact dates but they range from the 1780's to early 1800's

Braddick, that off center is way cool. Or is it broad struck? What's up with the reverse? Was the "E" tooled?

Nothing exciting, decided to encapsulate my 83 Mint sets.

This was included in the 83 Philly Souvenir Set. I believe it's copper, has some weight to it.

Anyone know the significance of the date August 14, 1969?

    Awesome pics guys.

Naughty boy, Braddick! image The off center strike detracts from the reverse lettering.
Here's a 1972 purchase that's newly photographed. I think it was a good buy. The photo doesn't fully capture the glossy fields as well as I'd have liked.

Finished up the IHC collection yesterday. Wow I had funimage

The 1877 is a dark mahogany color that turns purple and blue when tipped in the light.(MS 70?) I can't get a decent pic of it, first is a camera shot and then scans...

    image

    image

    image

When I get enough light to show the details, it washes them out. Can you tell I'm frustrasted with the camera right now? image

    image

    image

And even filled one more hole in the Lincoln album...

Yeah, I got that one off ebay, and the guy made sure to point it out, it is weird, almost like a counter punch or something. Here is a bigger picture....

Edited to add: It almost looks like someone tried to turn it into a hybrid chain cent! image
