Why would it matter? It is 1990 Donruss, who would search those?
You'd be surprised. In 90-91 with the error card craze, people were looking for the Ryan error version stat back, the Smoltz/Glavine error, and the Gonzalez reverse negative, and a couple others I forget. Sealing packs and putting them back in the box was not uncommon. Those boxes back then were $25 each. If it was a factory sealed case, then no, the boxes should not have tears or rips.
