lol. I sent in an Orlando Cepeda rc one time that was so out of register, it actually made my eyes water and it came back a straight 5. The OF card is Arny's, I didn't look at his cards at all, but I've never seen the OF qualifier. In fact, I put "NO QUALIFIERS" on the sub.

thats a pretty decent number of 0.5 grades out of that sub. so much for a low % of 0.5 grades. unless you just have such a great pair of eyes on you.

I would have rather gotten 9's than 8.5's.

I sent in stuff that was literally straight out of packs. The Mattingly 8 is disappointing, straight out of a rack and gorgeous. The Puckett and Brett 8's were the nicest I had from 86 Topps racks so I thought I'd try a couple before I committed to a bunch. I won't play that game again.

My 86 T FB are all from vending. Surprised by the couple of 7's as I didn't send in anything less than 9 quality IMO (compared to other 9's I already had). Most of them getting 8's is disappointing.

I sent in a few cards for the "Packers HOF" set that I know some guys are building as well as some cards for the upcoming ROY fb set. Arny has first crack at those since I pulled them at his request. If he doesn't want them, they are available.

I think I'm going to keep the Derrick Brooks and Sapp 10's. Elam I'll probably sell as well as McNair. Haven't decided on Roaf and Vinatieri. If I got an offer I couldn't refuse, I'd probably sell them. Otherwise maybe I'll start that Future HOF set up again...

I think everything else is for sale if anyone wants to make any offers. Grades just popped today so I won't have them in hand til late next week I suspect.

nice job on the vinateri and the 95sp's. similar experience with min size/trim and resubmitting and getting a grade. makes you wonder.

i've been looking for a box of 97 pacific in hopes of pulling a vinateri.

David - I've never seen a box of 97 Pacific, and therefore never opened one, so I'm not sure on the collation. I've picked up all my Vinatieri's off ebay or local shows. Usually running me in the $15-25 range. I've submitted 6 now and this is my first 10. The rest were 9's with one 8. I have 2 more to submit, hopefully those can get 10's as well.

The 95 SP box was a great buy. BBCE had them for $45, any 10's out of there pay for the box immediately. I've done quite well with them.

No idea. It must have been really bad to get it though. My guess is that it would have dropped more than 2 grades if they hadn't Q'd it. By the way, it's already shipped.

I wouldn't have submitted something really out of focus. That's strange. I'm very interested to see that one.

A few low pop 10s for my '84 Donruss and nearly all of the cards left to finish my set.

envoy...your experiences with crack-and-resubmit convince me that resubmissions are an integral part of PSA's business model.

SOM-It is interesting to say the least. If I hadn't seen it next to a PSA 8 of the exact same card, I may not have bought it. I had commented that I thought the 7 looked better than the 8 and that he should resubmit it. He declined and told me to buy it and try. So I did. And I got a PSA 9 the second time around. Paid $8 for it in a 7 holder, I'll get $75-100+ in a 9. Nice little investment.

I've had stuff jump from 6-8, 5-9 and 8-10. I've also had 9's come back 7's and 8's so it does go both ways. It is a subjective process and is not going to improve much from it's current state I believe. Buy the card, not the holder right?
