Kennedy half question...?

Below is the PCGS Price Guide info:

Type 3, Clad, Bi-Centennial Reverse, MS
------------------- 40 60 63 64 65 66 67 68 69 70
1976 Clad ------- 2 3 10 15 55 215 1,400 - - -
1976-D Clad ---- 2 3 10 15 25 75 825 - - -

Can anyone tell me why the P mint is do much higher than the D mint on this 1776-1976 coin?

Anyone have any idea why there are no 68's? (Worn dies...? What?) And, does toning reduce the numerical grade?

What grade would a bicentennial Kennedy have to be to make slabbing it worthwhile? ~ Thanks!

In those days the Philly Mint was notorious for coins which looked like they were rolled down the street before they were placed in the sets. Thus, finding high grade example of P-Mint coins is much harder than Denver coins. I suggest you look at the POPS.

    OMG Yes!

All the coppernickel coins were simply terrible especially the larger ones like the Kennedy's and the IKE's~
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

The MS67 pop of the D's is twice that of the P's...and the MS66 D pop is almost 3 times that of the P's. There are plenty of MS68's from San Fran
