They're not all out to screw you

Considering the bad press that dealers seem to get as a matter of course, I thought it would be only fair to take the time to point out one of the good guys. I was at the local coin store yesterday to see what might have come in lately that I'd be interested in. I was offered some Canadian silver dollars at melt, but opted to pass. When I stopped by again today, I commented that, considering the increasing price of silver, I probably should have bought the dollars yesterday. I was offered the opportunity to buy the same dollars, at yesterday's silver price.
edited to add... dealer name and address deleted from post- I didn't expect that anyone would actually feel he need to question the integrity of the dealer without having any knowledge of the situation as described, and do not wish to be a party to anything that might harm his reputation.

<< <i>And you accepted or declined the generous offer?
I acceped.
<< <i>You forgot to tell the part of the story about how the dealer bought those coins from someone at 50% of the spot price. >>

Well, I can't say I know what he paid for them, but I do know that while I was buying them, a guy came in with a bag of silver dimes to sell. The dealer paid close to spot (I don't remember the actual figure, but it was definitely *not* 50% of spot, that's for sure) for them.
Is there any reason in particular that you feel the need to imply that this dealer is less than honorable in his business transactions?
<< <i>Absolutely not. I was making a sarcastic remark about dealers in general. >>
Fair enough. I was concerned that someone might actually take what you said at face value when I was just trying to point out a dealer that I believe treats his customers fairly.

In the end it makes no difference for him because he made the same amount of $$ that he would have the day before. For you he made the potential of a return visit a reality which is invaluable to him.
