Need Opinion on some coins I have?

I have some coins that have a decent value now and they are all currently in the Mint packaging. Now my question is should I get these graded or should I just keep them in the Mint cases and when the time comes just sell them as is.

Here’s just short list of some things I have.

2006 Proof Gold Buffalo
2007 Proof Gold Buffalo
1994 Proof Silver Eagle
2006 20th Anniversary Silver Eagle Set
2001 Proof Silver Buffalo

Just wondering what others would do with these.

Thanks!

  • I would get them graded if you think they are going to get good grades. If not then keep them the way they are.

Depends how long you want to keep them.

I would suggest checking e-bay to see if there is a premium for slabbed PR69DCAM vs. just the mint packaging.

There is also always a chance that if you have them graded you will get the coveted 70 grade which would make it worth the grading costs.

I need to know your intent.
If you are a collector, are they not acceptable in the presentation cases from the mint ? Are you looking for the "added value" ? If the latter is the intent and it's for re-sell, I'd enjoy them as they are.

Unless you want to try to make a 70, they are not worth slabbing.

I'd leave them right where they are so long as they are stored properly (the silver coins anyway) so as to minimize environmental damage.
