1918-D Buffalo - Overdate?

What do you think? Regular or 18/17 overdate?
The top right of the 8 looks a little like a 7.

  • Looks like a normal 1918-D. I could be wrong, but I dont see anything resembling a 7. Sorry.

Thanks, I suspected as much but was hoping against hope.

I've got a bunch of Buffs that my uncle left for me. Before he died, he worked in a token booth for the NYC subway, and set aside every coin worthwhile. He replaced the change with his own money. He kept some, but sold a lot to dealers who would come down to the booth at night when it was quiet and buy the coins. He's the one who fired me up as a coin collector when I was a kid.

BTW, the pic was taken with my newly reincarnated Coinscope. I bought it 6 years ago and then didn't use it much. So I dug it out yesterday but the software was for WIN98. I found the company in Japan and sent an email. They gave me a link and I was able to update it to WIN XP.
