SAE Collection Set Value Help Needed

I know someone who has a collection of SAE's for sell and described as: Complete Set American Eagles 1986 to 2005 new in box, all encased in 3 ½ by 5 ¾ plastic see through cases.

He is asking $500 on Craig's list and not getting much activity. I'm not a SAE collector, but told him I would see if any of you could give a general idea of the worth.

A little over $20/ coin except for the 1996, which would be around $50.

Does the set include proofs and uncirculated both? If it includes the proofs, are the coins still in their original capsules?

No proofs, just single coins in mint boxes. Each box contains one coin.

The only coins shipped in Mint boxes were the proofs. You will have to post some pics to get an assessment, but if they are all uncirculateds rather than proofs, then commoncents05's comment is on point.

You could try posting it here on the BST to see if there are any takers. Probably a lot more coin folks looking there than on Craigs list.

Heck I would almost be a buyer at that price.
