Just a brief add: Dudley Castle shows up on some Conders or Davis tokens as well, although from an earlier era. It's in Birmingham, which may narrow the field down somewhat in case you're trying to track down this merchant. I'm really not remembering much detail, but it may be known as Ludlow Castle too, or maybe that's another one nearby. Any of our UK friends ready to picth in?
