Baltimore Auction Virtual Catalog..........

SwampboySwampboy Posts: 13,100 ✭✭✭✭✭

I think B&M did a good job putting this catalog together. I'm not specifically refering to the content but rather to the 'feel' of it.
I get a kick out of 'flipping' the pages.

Bowers and Merena Virtual Catalog . Session 1.

Opinions?

I'm sure a lot of work went into that and it seems like a very good job, but call me old fashioned if you want but I dont like trying to read these " electronic" versions of
    textbook or magazines or whatever.
The biggest problem is the you have to "zoom" in an area to read it.
I find that very hard and annoying. IMHO.

Looking quickly through this, I found it very cool and paper friendly.

On the other hand, the images of the coins weren't the sharpest and zooming in to read wasn't too user-friendly - in today's day-and-age of technology!!!

This feature might appeal to the younger set, not for me.

Very nice. It confirms my suspicion that NGC has a difficult time grading half eagles. image

Found one in an ANACS holder I would not mind though.

    Didn't care for it, brother.

  • I thought they did a nice job with a catalog. I was able to click on a page and get a larger version without having to use that virtual magnifying glass.

How did you do that may I ask. When I left click nothing happens, if I right click then zoom I get about 1/8 page that isn't so clear.
