50 pfenning??

Just bought what looks like a german coin. Says 50 pfenning on the one side with what looks like -phel munee over the top and the german eagle on the back. No dates anywhere. Is about half the size of a lincoln cent and I would say zinc coated iron. Is so small that a photo by my scanner would not help iding it. Any ideas? I find nohting in krause of 50 pfenning.

Oh--did not know that. Seems that I do remember reading that somewhere though. Thanks for the info. I guess I am out my 25 cents.

Maybe not a quarter wasted. Some of these, particularly nineteenth century ones, are collectible in their own right.

25c is cheap even for common examples of these.

No way Smitty--it's stuck in my collection now. When I have seen my last sunset you can purchase it from my heirs who will think it is worh a mint.
