Crazy like Nellie Fox

Now it is a buyers market!

This opinion only applies to sports cards. I will no longer sell any more cards on Ebay. I am changing my whole plan. I am keeping my account for buying, Ebay is a great place to buy. Selling, I plan on trying a few shows, flea markets, ect. In person sales may be the way to go imo. For example if I buy a PSA 5 card and bust the star out of it's plastic prison would that be dishonest? NO, I plan on selling the card as EX which it is, or is it a 5.5? HA HA I can buy 1990's factory sets in person for 5 per and flip them for 10 with no 7 or more shipping. So who wins? The buyer and me, but who loses? EBAY and the USPS. And I pledge to NEVER buy another item from a seller who does not use PAYPAL. Opinions?

    Some thoughts....
Ebay will still have stuff available but I think we will see a lot less on there. Maybe there will be a decent amount of higher end stuff but mid and lower range items will be much more scarce. When things are available, it will also create higher competition so higher ending results? There are a lot of guys like you, Mike, and myself who wont be selling on ebay. It's going to happen across the board. Must be it must be ebays master plan to make this happen? We'll see if it works for them.

There will be plenty of stores closing but then more will open for the ebay regulars...with higher prices. Not sure how much more the market will take. Possible some stuff will move but lots will sit and sit and sit.

But I wouldnt discount sellers who dont use Paypal. Look at their feedback and let it speak for itself. Lots of these guys are going to find a way to cut costs and one avenue to cut costs is to accept only checks and money orders. Personally, I HATE getting checks. Last thing I need is some dope bouncing one one me. Also, you can often get better deals if they dont accept Paypal. Again, look at the FB and see if you trust them enough to send a Money Order.

Whatever you do, Mike, good luck!

For me, I am vowing to keep much more focused on my collection. Thats going to save me dough.
