JFK Auto

I came across this auction when I was trying to figure out what a JFK signature goes for. I saw one of those Triple Threads JFK sweater cards and thought it was pretty cool, I wondered what a reall Kennedy auto would run. Anyone know, this one seems legit but I am far from an expert on this. Any feedback is appreciated.
Is this a legit sig?

BUT, the price is CRAZY. That dealer would not pay $600 for that letter.
You can find real ones on military commission-certificates for
about $250+/- retail. Antique shops are a good place to look.
He was an easy signer. Both TTM and IP. There are also some autopen
letters that have value. Depends who they were to, and what the
subject was. It is VERY likely that staff signed some of the TTM stuff;
PSA/DNA can tell the difference.
The sig on your pic looks fairly close, BUT I would not over-pay for it.
I have sold several authentic JFK's over the years ranging from simple cuts that I got about $1,000 for, all the way up to Authentic signed appointments of ambassadors that I got over $4,000 for. You will NOT find authentic ones for $250.00 unless you stumble upon a seller that just plain out doesn't know what they are doing. If you shop dilligently and carefully, you might find simple sigs for around $750-$850.00 if you get them before they make it to a dealer. He is one of the most popular Presidential autographs, and one of the most plentiful for fakes (forgeries) and non-malicious fakes (secretarials, autopens, etc.). There are some very, very, very good secretarials out there, but you can find signature studies that will help you ferret out the real ones.
Your best bet is to make an investment in Hamilton's study, it will save you 15x that amount down the road.
To reiterate, that one you linked to on ebay is 100% autopen, not real. Good luck in your search.
