Help for a Newbie

Hi folks, I am a vergin in the world coin arena so I need some help with a couple of coins I picked up at a flea market a couple of weekends ago. We don't have any dealers within about 75 miles and the Library has nothing to help me. They are both proofs, one is 1997 and the other is 1998. I'm attaching the best picture I could get of the 1997. Obv lettering "1 ONZA PLATA PURA 1997 LEY .999". Rev lettering "ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS"

1 oz of silver. Krause gives a value of $42 for the proof and a mintage of 1500. Mexican coin.

The 1998 proof has a mintage of 500 and Krause value of $80.

Thanks for the help. Are these intended to be bullion coins or do people collect them?

Being a proof, they are collectors coins. The MS coins are bullion coins.
