Honestly, That looks like a scratch. I cant tell for sure but from the pic it looks bad.. Is it raised?

It's a scratch. I'm still flowered. That explains why it mostly disappears when it goes from the field to the device.

Looks like it may be a stike thru error.

I need to set up a proper stand and get a closer look. It appears to illuminate only from the top and not from the bottom, which would indicate to me that it is slightly raised.
