My first time ...

using a Nikon D40x. This past weekend I borrowed a friend's Nikon D40x fitted with the 18 - 85 mm lens. Had very little time so I did my normal set up, in front of the picture window, set everything to auto and shot a few pics in macro mode. Wow! I like it! But, for the price of the camera and lens I can buy a few very nice looking coins. So ... someday, maybe.





Here is the reverse of the SG at 1000x1000. If only I had been able to run the manual focus.

You could buy the whole Camera setup for less than one of the coins you have shown here.
