First...allow me to confess that I know next to nothing about this coin, and that it may have been beneficial to have done some homework before bidding on it. A VCoins seller has one in similar condition, but without any crust (or character ) on it for about what I paid, so I think I did alright. Anyway, here's the coin:
The seller didn't provide a very good picture, but for $20, the worst case scenario isn't too bad. I really like the dark toning and tangible crust on both sides of the coin, but I'm hoping they aren't going to damage it.
I like this coin in particular because of the horse design, and because it was minted under George I of Hannover, who became king of England 2 years later. Pretty neat history for a relatively cheap coin.
