Ebay feedback question...

lkeneficlkenefic Posts: 8,562 ✭✭✭✭✭
So I finally got reimbursed for This Transaction (1841 Large Cent). The seller was apparently at the Long Beach Show and took an additional 10 days to get his [personal] check out to me. I'm inclined to not leave ANY feedback and just let it go... but I ws curious to find out what others thought about this transaction.... the crappy pics in the original auction.... but the guy has a very favorable return policy (30 days)... it takes almost three weeks to refund my money from the time I sent the coin back to him...but the guy did tell me he was going to be out of town... and then he sends me a personal check which my bank typically holds for 10 business days... I suppose I DID get my money back...

...well what do you think?

    how did you pay?

what makes you think the original sellers photos were messed with (photo shopped)

Coin photos are difficult at best. I would give the seller the benefit of the doubt. Just don't leave any feedback. It is crazy time when they are trying to get ready for a show.

We don't know what the original auction states so there is no reason for us to treat this any differently.

You did what you had to by returning it as it is definitely not like the photos in hand. Also not a coin you would want to own.

I would leave positive feedback in that he honored the refund and in the comment just put something innocuous like "Thank you." I can't tell you how many crappy "OK" or "Alright" feedbacks I've received on nice BU Morgans and Peace dollars that went for melt (and sometimes less!).

You need to find a new bank. Mine credits everything immediately.

Thanks for your comments everyone... I'll go with my first instinct and simply move on and not leave feedback.

My bank is actually a credit union and right across the street from where I work... it's convenient in some ways (free checking, favorable interest rates on car loans, etc...) but very inconvenient in their check cashing policy...L
