That Netherlands East Indies coin was minted during WWII. I'm guessing that the Netherlands had more pressing issues at that time than striking coins for use in Southeast Asia, but I could be wrong...

Interesting! Thanks! I guess if either of my grandfathers were still here they'd have me clued into this kinda stuff. In 2000 the U.S. minted a commemorative for Iceland. How come?
