Haven't been to the coin dealers for a while.

For collector coins, I would recommend Huntington Beach Coin Exchange if Manny is still there.
For higher-end coins, I hear that Premium Numismatics is good but pricey.

Under no circumstances do I recommend one labelled "Jewelry and Loan"

Thanks, I'll check out the Huntington Coin Exchange place first. Does Premium Numismatics operate as a regular retail store, or is it one of those "by appointment only" types? I'm asking because I went to their website and they didn't list any store hours.

Jewelry & Loan is probably a pawn shop.

I went to a coin shop in that area years ago, but can't remember the name....sorry! image
It was rather small, and not really exciting.

The reason I am replying though is to say just up the road a bit is Liberty Coins.
Located in Long Beach....technically it might be Signal Hills, it is a very nice coins shop with a very decent variety of coins.
If I remember correctly (sure, NOW my merory serves me), this was the B&M of choice for PQPeace.

Manny Acosta is the owner of that shop... He's one of the koolest guys to deal with.
I'm usually there every Saturday for there bid board, and he also has alot of higher end stuff there that I buy from as well. A fantastic selection too...
Go down there to check it out...
