Seller protection Policy- from " PAYPAL"

I know that this has been beaten to death, but it's been beaten to death because it's confusing. I just looked at this on Paypal. It is in regards to items over $250. I'm going to copy and paste it here:
Signature receipt for valuable items.
For items with a value of $250.00 USD or more, in addition to proof of delivery, you must provide proof of signature from the recipient. This proves that the item was delivered to the buyer. ------ So, when I send a $300 Mantle card do I have to insure it for $300 and send it del. confirmation and also sig. confirmation. Doesn't sig. confirmation show proof of delivery and a signature all in one. It says in addition to proof of delivery you must provide proof of signature from the recipient. Isn't there wording basically saying the same thing twice. Is Paypal making these rules for crooks to thrive, because I'm still not sure about this policy after reading this on PAYPAL because to me the wording is very confusing.
Thanks,

You don't need delivery confirmation, but you do need signature confirmation. Insurance is optional but you're crazy if you don't insure something for $300. Just putting sig conf won't protect you if the package gets lost or damaged.

  • You have to at least get Signature confirmation getting both DC and sig confirmation would be a waste. Don't let the PO fool you into thinking the insurance signature is all you need though mine always tells me putting sig confirmation on an insured item is a waste of money.
