Opportunity to by some raw Saints

An aquaintance of mine is in the process of getting out of the coin business and wanted to know if I was interested in any Saints. Said there raw XF/AU common dates. Are they worth investing in? What would be a fair offer?
Thanks,
Ray

You can get some nice certified unc pieces for a few bucks more then those......

    I would get those instead.....

If you can get them for melt value then go for it. If you want to collect Saints, then yeah, you should pick up some unc pieces because they don't cost much more. If you just want them as a store for gold, then pick them up IF they're being sold for their gold value.

If you can pick them up for melt or slightly back of it, and you feel good about the direction of PM's, and you have the discretionary bucks... Sure, why not? Just don't pay a numismatic premium.
  • Thanks for the responses so far. Really just for the gold content if I can get them at melt. Not really (nor do i own any) into collecting Saints.. Just thought having a couple would be nice.

    Current melt is around $900.

If you ever have to sell a dealer would probably give you less than that. See if he would sell for around $850 each and you both win. He avoids selling fees and you get a deal.
