I don't have man love for him, but back in '87 I did buy 500 of his topps rookie cards. I bought 1500 Bo Jackson rookie cards, so maybe a little man love for him though.
<< <i>loved his swing, his attitude and competitive nature. awesome guy to watch. I wish he had stuck around a couple more seasons. >>
I was always bummed that Will didn't seem to dedicate himself more to his training. He got a little soft at the end, and never really seemed to do any weight training. I mean, the guy played in Texas with Pudge, Canseco and Juan Gonzalez, after all...
As a player, I very much enjoyed watching Will Clark's smooth D and nice swing. Unfortunately he was not the nicest to the fans, especially if he was in a bad mood. But then again, you hear good and bad stories about most players.
personally the meanest ballplayers i have ever encountered were of course Albert belle...and Dewey Evans...on at least 3 different occasions they were jerks..(3 times each) i expected it out of belle, but not from dwight evans

You can say this about most people. Wether they are a pro ball player or not.
