O/T....Epson scanner question.

I know alot of people use Epson scanners on the boards. I have one too, but I misplaced my owners manual. I have an Epson Stylus RX500. I wanted to scan a card, but I am out of the color Cyan. Is there a way to still scan pics if you are out of ink? It seems wierd that the whole scanner would disable itself just because I am out of a colored ink.

I don't have that one, mine doesn't print so no cartridges. If you have time, I think this
gets you to the operator's manual.
