The only thing I can think is the bidders believe it is really MS63. The MS63 Trrnds value is $10,000.

There were some strong prices at the Tores auction Fri + Sat, but this is crazy.

It's nearly midnight and the price is still "pending". 99% chance it is a no-sale; i.e., consignor buy-back.

There was an 1864 New Brunswick 20 cent piece in a Heritage auction listed as "AU details, cleaned". I placed a throw away bid on it at Charlton's VF valuation (I think it was around $35) to see where it went. Supposedly it closed last night for $1,750 including the juice. When I went to look at it again today in the auction archives, it didn't show up.

Maybe someone else figured he'd get moon money for an NB coin. image

I had one, I believe AU50 or AU55 which sold not too long ago for only around $800, if I recall correctly. Where are these bidders when I'm selling?!?
