I know putting the html cose doesn't work here. On amother board I go to, you just have to delete some stuff in the html cose and it will work. I can't figure out what needs to be deleted though.

I know some use them here so i know they work on this board.

Yes they do Tonya but this format is harder than some.

In another board I participate in - all I have to do is "copy" the icon and paste it.

Here's an icon I use instead of the PSA because it's animated:

What I do is keep it on my desktop - copy the URL address and post it like a picture.

Okay, got it to work. Here is a screen shot too to explain if anyone else is interested.

First open up the Smiley Central thing in your browser

Right click on the smiley, Copy HTML.

In your post, put in the img bracket things you use for a photo. And enter the smiley HTML between the brackets.

Delete all the stuff before and after the red marks in my screen shot. The only thing left will be http blah blah blah ending in gif.

So it will look like this in your post (without the spaces:

[ img] http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_33_16.gif [ /img]

Randy, just right click on them and look under properties. Copy the url and just paste it to a document. You can save it there then use it whenever you want
