1957 Topps Johnny Unitas PSA 9 ...

It's been discussed a bazillion times here, but I'll never get over sellers who intentionally omit a qualifer from their auction title. Take for example this 1957 Topps Johnny Unitas PSA 9 (OC):

He cares to identify the OC qualifier in the description and then says, "PSA said there are there no other known Unitas rookie cards graded PSA 9." I don't have access to the POP report, so I don't know if this is true. I'm guessing he's stating that there is no PSA 10, which would not be suprising.

But I guess what really bothers me is that he treats the OC as being no big deal.

Can you imagine any of the following:

1. Ferrari for sale, but ignoring the fact that 2 of the 8 cylinders are blown;
2. Laptop computer for sale, but ignoring the fact that the hard drive has multiple bad sectors; or
3. House for sale, but ignoring the fact that the previous owners were killed there.

That's how I view people leaving out qualifiers from their auction titles.

these guys are inconsiderate at the minimum and we can start truthful name calling at the maximum.

i was in real estate for a while and the previous owner had to disclose if murder or suicides took place. never was certain why that law was put in place.

Don't know why either, but if the house is at a huge discount because of it, I wouldn't care. It'd be great price break for me. Was really looking hard for a new house 2 years ago and this was one of the things I was looking for. Of course, my wife disagreed with me and wouldn't buy into the whole idea.

    "1957 Topps Johnny Unitas Rookie PSA 9" - No it's not. It's a 9 (OC).

"Highest rated Unitas Rookie Card! One of a kind!" - No it's not.
Since 8's count higher in the registry and 7's count the same as 9 (OC),
there are 150 Unitas rookies graded higher and 335 graded just as high.

"PSA said there are there no other known Unitas rookie cards graded PSA 9." - WTF? PSA can talk and give out wrong info now?

"PSA values this card at $6,000" - No, a 9 (OC) would be valued the same as a PSA 7 which would be $ 450.

So the seller is either stupid or a liar.
Either way, it's still a nice looking card
and hopefully anyone putting out that kind of cash would do a little research first.

    Really?

I'd like to hear more about the specifics! My wife and I are currently in the market. Murder and suicide houses are drastically reduced?

Is a realtor forced to divulge this info?
