OH, and before someone jumps down my throat on this topic, there are also Duke and North Carolina as candidates....don't want anyone to think I'm against those schools...and if anyone wants to know I'm a Ohio State fan and wouldn't even consider them in the discussion this year.....show your team colorsimage

    Final Four

    Tennessee
    UCLA
    Texas
    (Memphis/UNC/Duke)

Texas is a strong team and will surprise a few people

I hope Tennessee enjoys their #1 ranking while they can, because they won't be #1 for long! Not after we're done with 'em! We beat 'em once before and we'll be more than happy to do it again! image

I collect Vintage Cards, Commemorative Sets, and way too many vintage and modern player collections in Baseball (180 players), Football (175 players), and Basketball (87 players). Also have a Dallas Cowboy team collection.

Do you think Kentucky will have a chance to win the tourney?? long shot at best. forgot to mention my other local team is Cleveland State. It's been more than 20 years since they were competitive and had a chance, but if they can beat Butler again they'll be in the tourney......

I don't see Kentucky going very far, the Wildcats have struggled this year and the new coach has been feeling the heat and some are saying he is not a good fit for the program. I wish that schools did not name stadiums or arenas after legendary coaches like Adolph Rupp
at Kentucky it just puts more psychological pressure on the coaches that follow to live up to what are sometimes near impossible standards.

cmon. im not rooting against kentucky and have nothing against the team, but let's not put them in the conversation about winning the ncaa tournament. they are about 6 tiers below that conversation.

maybe you meant winning the sec tournament? OK, then yes...they have a chance.

But, this team is still too young and raw. Give them another year and they'll be back in the national championship spotlight.

but this year...no way in hell. They are still fighting to get in the field of 64. and that's in a weak SEC.

I don't think we believe Kentucky will win the NCAA tourney but with league tournements they could still get in...if they get hot who knows....even Ohio State or another team from the SEC Florida could do that, although highly unlikely.

I'm just saying once we get in the field with a decent seed, anything can happen. I refuse to quit or give up hope until that final buzzer sounds.

UConn (men) will be dangerous in the tournament. Could make the final 4, also could choke in the second round.

UConn women should win it all if they don't choke against Rutgers.

anything is possible....if I remember correctly Villanova and North Carolina State both won the tournament with double digit losses in the regular season.

sure. i meant no disrespect. the chances are slim, as the george mason's of the world are far and few between. kentucky has talent, but so does ohio state...and the big 10 might get 5 in this year, so ohio state has just as much a chance to win as kentucky. right?

yep, agree, Kentucky could win the SEC....let's wish each of our teams luck....wouldn't it be weird if they both win their tournaments and end up playing each other in the NCAA??
