Considering shutting down my Ebay sellers account

And "joining the hobby". After 4 years of being a buyer/seller I am strongly considering shutting down my sellers account. I will keep my buyers account because, honestly if it wasn't for Ebay my collection would be weaksauce. I have only had maybe 4 or 5 sales over $100 since I joined, mostly a few non card items. I have lost money overall selling the few cards I have sold and now I plan on selling cards at a few local shows and flea markets. In fact, for example I can buy cards on ebay in bulk and flip them for double in person which is a awesome profit margin. Also I can buy PSA 5's on Ebay and sell them for book after I bust em out of their plastic prison. Ex cards are very nice cards in my opinion and since they were graded I KNOW they have not been trimmed or tampered with. Just a few ideas I am considering, what do you think? My opinion is why would anyone buy a 1993 Topps factory set or even a micro factory set on Ebay for say 10 bucks with 7 shipping- total 17 bucks when they could buy them from me IN PERSON NOW for 15? I make 5 bucks on each sale and since I am such a nice guy the buyer WILL be back for more. And if I "find" a great collection/card I will consign it.

You are correct that selling Raw can be be very profitable, just don't become one of those dealers who wants a little below high book price for VG/EX quality cards. My local show is filled with these guys and they have the same inventory month after month, because people are not buying.
