stagnation has set in....or "ebay's like a shootout"

ever notice whe you put up some stuff on the bay..... that its like an old west shoot out?

first 2 days ...guns (bids) a blazin'!

then the smoke starts to clear as they hit their collective "refresh" buttons...just to see who's still standing. (stagnation time)

then the next few days bidders (and the watchers) jockey for the best analysis of the deals at hand...and maybe take 3---4 days to watch for other gun flashs.

then maybe with 2 days to go...a few of them take bidding pot shots at the competition....just to see if they can scare a few into the hills.

then at zero hour...all hell breaks loose...it seems to be a musical of dueling bidders!

I know what you mean. Folks search the newly listed and you get alot of hits and bids.......then as it disappears into the dead center of the listings......only the watchers are hitting and not much happens. Final hour can be fun....

I have started running only 3 day'ers and sometimes 1 day'ers with no differance in $$$ received. I'll run a 7 day in hotsauce because they only avg about 400 listings.....you get hits all week. Coins? forget it, toooooo many coins out there, so I just try to time my endings at the peaks...Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday nights about 8:00 central and hope for the best.

I've stopped going the whole "let's see what they bid" route 'cause at least for my auctions, I don't get that last blast of bidding that we rely on. Lost quite a few dollars that way. Now I do BIN with best price option for that one or two people who may be willing to pay more than anyone else. Never again will I do a 99¢ auction on ebay, it's become too hit or miss
