Went to an antique shop today....

Found this one.
Looks cool hanging on my wall. Didn't know much about it but I liked it.
3 medals inside a plaque (what the hey) I wonder who made it?
I did some research and found out that all three medals are from the mint and the white medal is actually silver.
I had an idea it was from the mint because they all had a P mint mark.
When I got it home I decided to open it up and see how it looks on the reverse's. Well they toned. Thanks to the great particle board of the 70's
I think everything and everyone came out of the 70's a bit "toned"
Anyway's, it cost me $45 so overall not a bad day at the antique store.

How much was it, out of curiosity? (Edit: whoops, I didn't read. Duh.)
Forty-five bucks, huh?
I doubt I'd have risked that much on it, personally- I probably wouldn't have gone much over ten or fifteen, but I'm a cheapskate.
I'm glad you ended up getting "silvered" out of the deal! Neat item!
Last time I was in an antique shop they had a 1957 proof set marked as a 1957 mint set, and priced at $300!!!
Congrats
<< <i>Nice toning on that silver one. Nice pick up.

The seller must have been a product of the 70's

Actually, I'm from Cleveland(originally)
I've lived in Los Angeles the last 20 years.
And its true $45 was a little steep but I guess tha's what happens when you live in LA
Everything costs more.
