You can get nuggets of wisdom and entertainment from most people who post here.

But I do look for threads and posts from (off the top of my head and in no particular order):
    ColonialCoinUnion
    Pistareen
    RYK
    SaintGuru
    TahoeDale
    Sunnywood
    TDN
    RWB
    Oreville
    and even Longacre image
  • The really great posters are either bammed, or dead.
  • No one mentioned the early copper guys.

    DoctorPaper
    joecopper
    1798
    Notwilight

Others that are very informative and entertaining have been mentioned except maybe edmerlr.

    Thanks to all!

Reviving this old thread. Interesting historical perspective. How many of the favorites are still favorites?

DonTaxay was amusing for a day or two. Then Don Willis escorted him to the spaceship and....image The new guy... not so much.

ColonelJessup is one of my must-reads. Prodding sleeping bears one minute, dripping with wisdom and insight the next.

I would say keyman64. The short time I'm here he seems to be the most generous and compassionate! He still gave me a prize in one of his "give-away's".even though I was second place. What a guy! Greg, a real human being! I'm sure all you that know Greg, would also agree. Greg, you are the "Keyman"!image

A seeming repeat of a business model that wasn't worthwhile. image

But Laurie's perception of market trends has made her a winner much more often than not. Who knows what this new venture might morph into?image

Andy Lustig consistently asks the most provocative questions. Bruce, Carl - many others. TomB, Roadrunner and on and on. Russ. Spud.

I don't worship any of them, some which are frequent posters I detest.

I have picked up some good tips from some of them and a couple of them I have dissected their websites to study their inventory / pricing / makeup / etc (where is it relative to CDN or Retail for instance) in developing my own strategy in competing with them.

Going thru these pages is a vertible who's who, of who's passed away, been out right banned, banned but then resurrected, banned, resurrected, then banned yet again.
