What is the one doubled or tripled die or even RPM?

That you think is the king, either in doubling or rarity?

  • Either the 69-s lincoln or 1916/16 buffalo nickel are my favorites.

Most well known and popular has to be the 55 double die lincoln because they are affordable and available.
Want to buy an auction catalog for the William Hesslein Sale (December 2, 1926). Thanks to all those who have helped us obtain the others!!!

  • I was thinking the 1970-S LD lincoln DDO, I think it is such a sleeper compared to te 69-S.
  • I always liked the 70-s ld ddo. I agrre sleeper. I also love the 17 and the 36 type 1. Also any of the great Ike double dies. Lots of cool ones there.

The 1876-CC DDR Dollar is one of my favorites.

  • not a popular variety as yet, but recently in NN (Feb 19 issue) an article with pics described a new DDO 2000-P Lincoln Cent (Extra Beard) - this new found variety contains the widest rotation (40%) of doubling found on any Lincoln Cent doubled die discovered thus far - maybe in time this particular coin might become as popular as the 1955 DDO since it is so unique and rare.
