PCGS registry question

I notice that they've changed things since I last had anything on their registry site. Used to you could just create a name for a set and then just add coins. Is it different now? Does PCGS have to add those coins for you or am I missing something? I'm wanting to start a new buffalo set and add a coin, but can't figure out how. Thanks

Add the coins to inventory first. Then create the set, and it will show you the eligible coins in your inventory and you can add the ones you want.

OK, From what I noticed I think someone else has this coin cert number in their set. Maybe that's what's wrong

There should be a link to notify PCGS when this happens.

For this you will have to scan the front and back of your slab and send the images to one of the registry admins to get it removed from the other persons registry.

This sometimes happens where coins get sold and people forget to remove the coin.

Not necessarily. Under the new system that's only needed if the current registrant refuses to remove it, or doesn't respond to the notification.

good info. Looks like I need to do some work his weekend. Not great coin by any means so I'm not stressing. Just a 37-D Buffalo, but I was wanting to get the set up and running tonight since I have a couple of nicer ones on the way. Thanks for the info.

I sent a removal request. I assume that they'll contact the former owner about this and if he doesn't respond they will remove it?

If he doesn't respond you'll have to provide the images as BECOKA mentioned, and then they'll remove it.

In my experience I always end up sending the images.

Once I was adding a coin to my set and it got bounced. So I report it. The registrant comes back and says he still owns it. Of course, I'm getting a little irritated. So, I pull up my images to send to PCGS, and it's one cert number different than I'd entered. OOPS!
