Check out my new VDB...

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been around much the past few days. Came down with a cold about a week ago, and have been just gotten over it the past few days. Also have been pretty busy over the weekend, but I should have a little free time tonight. I just wanted to show off one of my latest Lincolns. All comments, criticism, grade opinions, everything are welcome on this coin. It has real nice matte fields, a beautiful coin IMHO. Tell me what you think of it, and also take a stab at what I paid (BTW, sorry for poor pics, my camera couldn't focus right on this guy for some reason):

(BTW, another neat thing about this guy is he has a small die crack running from the N in One to the N in Cent on the reverse. image Not much, but pretty cool IMHO. LMK what you think!)

Wish I could see the die crack in the photos. Looks like a nice MS example with lots of luster.
  • Hey Becoka, I can try later to get a pic of the die crack so it can be seen. It's minor, but there, which makes this a little more cool IMHO. Thanks for the reply!

looks nice, solid 65 (notwithstanding recent issues w/grading 09s as mentioned in another thread).

  • I'm not an expert, but it looks better than my MS64RB. Pretty nice one!

Great coin Phoenix...I think the swipe in front of Lincoln puts it at a 64 myself....

  • 63Red Afew ticks and a small mark on the shoulder. Not bad though.
  • I would graded it 64RD based upon the pictures. It appears to have original skin and the luster of a higher grade but I think that the small cut on Lincoln's beard and the marks in the field opposite of Lincoln's face will keep this one to a 64. Very nice coin. I bet you paid $20 for the coin.

It looks nice, but too bad about the abrasion in the obverse field.

Nice hammered strike, good color, superb history on the coin and bound to shoot up in value. I'm going with 64 RD and a nice one.

  • Hey guys, thanks for the comments! This is so far my fav coin in my collection, I don't have plans on selling in the near future, so I am considering submitting it to NGC for the preservation and protection purposes. Might wait till the loosen up though a bit, I hear they are a little tight these days.image
