Consigning Vintage High End T-3's

OK gang. The story is that I purchased a collection of 15 T-3 Turkey Red Baseball. The cards have been graded and have come back between a low of 2 for a Bobby Wallace, which I expected, to a 5 for an Eddie Collins ad back that matches the highest recorded. I am considering Mastro for the big auction in April and Memory Lane as well. Who would you suggest. I expect the cards back next week and will need to make a quick decision. I am going to research the various houses this weekend but feel some of you have also dealt with them before.

Thanks,
Adam

  • I've had a very positive experience here. It would be worthwhile to await their next auction;

    Great house

    just sell em to me image Mastro has been hitting high notes with their t3's. I think you can get a break on fees as well
  • Thanks for the info so far. Any thoughts on Memory Lane or Heritage ??

    Stick with Mastro. REA would've been a good choice, but I think you just missed their deadline. Goodwin is a great to deal with and has been getting very strong prices as well.
    Also- if you're going with Mastro insist on a catalog auction and not the collector auction. Big difference in exposure and quality of the catalog.

    Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

  • Thanks for the information. I am going to see them next weekend in Reading, PA. Hopefully work out the deal for there next auction.

    Perhaps try the B/S/T forum here first. That way you can get what you want for them and

    avoid fees. Also you can get your dough sooner.
