Snowday in Philadelphia...Post a Coin

Well, here we are at the end of the winter season and Philly is getting its FIRST significant snow event. Have about 4 inches on the ground with the forecast for freezing rain and sleet this afternoon. In the big city people tend to lose their minds when any snow falls and traffic comes to gridlock. Shuttin' it down today and gonna work from home...and shovel for the first time.image

    Snowing here in Boston.....just got an inch or two now, but expecting uo to a foot, so, got plenty of wood for the fireplace, get a nice rip roaring fire going, plenty of hot coffee, and my favorite WHITE silver coin! Heres to it getting REALLY white during the day and nite!!

    Wish I had a snow day...I'm at work in Center City Philadelphia! 5 inches or so in Chestnut Hill when I left this morning.

    I live in Delaware (was tricked into moving there by a previous employer), but I'm from Wisconsin, and visited there last week. Ah.... zero degrees (yes, Fahrenheit)... multiple layers of snow two feet deep... now THAT's the winter of my youth.

    I don't have a coin to post right now...but just wanted to say that I was in Philadelphia most of this week on business and had intended to stay through today. Good thing I listened to a few of the locals and flew out yesterday afternoon.

    Snow has now changed over to freezing rain...great coins posted. Let's keep it going...

    Very happy that I do not have to deal with CC traffic on Market St. and the Vine Street Expwy. Streets were bad this AM although I think that the road crews now have a handle on the situation.

    Sometimes I miss Philly and sometimes I don't. That perpetual dirty curb slush a week after a good snow storm is not missed. Keep warm!
