I am still amazed at this collection. I am too lazy to post pics, but there are lots and lots of lots that I find appealing. If the catalog was not so big, I would schlep it to Baltimore have have Mr. Uhrich autograph it.

I will be happy to autograph your catalog at the sale, Longacre! (Free of charge, of course, as I am not a professional athlete trying to make ends meet by charging for autographs.) The same goes for anyone else who wants to bring a catalog to either the sale or the Baltimore show (table #1600).
Please note, not all of the lots in the sale are mine! For more info on my lots, click here.
Also, Mr. Uhrich was my Dad, so you can call me "Rich".

<< <i>Well, I just got blown out on the one I was watching with the most interest. Wow. I don't know why I bother even trying for anything nice any more. >>
I put internet bids in on five lots. I've already been outbid on three of them. Although I have a strong bid in on lot 4, I expect to lose that lot as the series has interest these days. And lot five, if I lose that one, someone else is a sicker bastige than I am.
Both obverse and reverse are toned light brown and gunmetal-gray over silver surfaces. The striking is excellent on both sides. The reverse shows clash marks as often seen.
NGC Census: 7; 2 finer (MS-65 finest).
The 1815/2 half dollar is the most important single date (actually an overdate, but the only issue with an 1815 obverse) in the Capped Bust series from 1807 to 1836. Accordingly, it is essential for a date set. Of the pieces that exist, nearly all are in the VF range, perhaps some graded EF with today's interpretations. AU coins are rare, and those certified as Mint State are rarer yet.
I was too busy to watch the auction of the coins on my watch list , It appears that none of them met their reserve . The starting bids were High enough that I imagined that they were the reserve for tose coins. I have never bid at Stacks before ....what does the starting price mean if anything ,or did those coins get sold privately? What an awesome group of coins! The kind that you see on the pop reports and wonder who has them, and will they ever become available? Also makes you wonder if the smart money is selling out of this market?

Hey, I'm not going to tip my hand yet. The two I'm looking at are getting enough competition already. Ask me again after it's over.
