As you may know the reason I am a Larry Allen fan as he went to the same college as I (Sonoma State). A few months ago I printed shirts for a bunch of my friends that said "Sonoma State Cossack Football... undefeated since 1996." That was the year they killed the program. I sent shirts to a few "famous" alumni such as Larry Allen and a few former Sonoma State coachs including Carl Peterson the president of the KC Chiefs. He was the offensive line coach on the first Sonoma State team back in '68 or so. Not bad career advancement to go from o'line coach at low level DII school to president and GM of an NFL team! Anyway, he sent me a very nice thank you letter today, totally personalized in response to my letter, and told me to call his office when they play in Oakland this year as he would set me up with tickets. Anyway, just wanted to highlight such a first class gesture.
