1880 IHC.....is this machine doubling ?

    Not sure, I usually associate machine doubling with sharp edges around the doubling. The wear on the coin might be keeping me from deciding.

    We need mr. Snow to chime in.

    I prefer to call it extra outlines. It's on the obverse design 1864-L to 1886 T1.

    And I believe also some die clashing on the rev, near the "T", shown in the last pic.
