Selling my NFL HOF RC Collection

I have decided to sell my NFL HOF rookie cards.

(After much pain and deliberation!!) (I have had a GREAT time collecting this set!!)

To start, I will be accepting offers for the individual cards. Some will be sent to PSA for regrades
before being sold. The rest are available right now.

Please take a look and see if there is anything you might need/ want for
your own collection.

Thanks guys,

Gabbs

If that's SMR on a Lane 8, then it's about 1/3 of its true value. Lane 8's sell in the $400 range.

You are kidding right? When buying a card do you always want to get it at SMR or below?

I just finished selling a bunch of 50's cards and got 95% of SMR for them.

Don't believe the BS that SMR is worthless, many folks go by it when buying and selling.

And if you think it is worthless I'll pay 50% of SMR for your best cards.

    Good for you.

Most serious collectors do not use the SMR at all.

Ebay and VCP combined with what the seller actually paid gets you there.

The SMR, just like almost any "price guide," is only as useful and accurate as the information it provides. There are many instances in the SMR where I wouldn't pay anything close to the listed price for some cards and in other cases, I would pay multiples of what the SMR pricing states. VCP, eBay, and an individual's budget are more likely predicators to what the final value of an item is/will be. Heck, I'd pay full SMR on as many PSA 8 '48 Leaf Bednariks as my bank account would allow! In fact, I'd gladly pay $55,000 (which is nearly 118% of SMR) for a straight PSA 8 set of '48 Leaf Football and I doubt that there's anyone else here that would disagree with the fact that they would do the same if they had the budget to do so.

Now, is there anyone out there willing to sell me 1948 Leaf PSA 8's for full current SMR?

I didn't claim it was the bible. I simply made a case that it is not worthless.

    Good for you.
