Anyone ever check out Ebay UK? I just found a card I have been....

looking for a very long time. A 1992 Fleer Prototype strip. I found it while browsing Ebay UK and Emmitt was spelled Emmit.

I was searching the most common mispelled variations of his name.

The funny is, some guy in California was selling it. I don't know how I missed it on "regular" Ebay image

  • That's pretty sweet Matt.

So how does eBay UK work? Can you still use paypal and stuff? I've never looked into it.

SWEET! It's not everyday that you find a card containing your favorite player PLUS the greatest running back of all-time. This has the makings of a great birthday, eh Matt?

Matt, you player collectors are much more dedicated than I am. If I was this dedicated I would have completed my team sets 10 years ago.
Currently completing the following registry sets: Cardinal HOF's, 1961 Pittsburgh Pirates Team, 1972 Pittsburgh Pirates Team, 1980 Pittsburgh Pirates Team, Bill Mazeroski Master & Basic Sets, Roberto Clemente Master & Basic Sets, Willie Stargell Master & Basic Sets and Terry Bradshaw Basic Set

Before Terrell Buckley played one snap, he had already predicted that he'd be "the next Jim Thorpe".

At least he's in good company on that strip...
  • take it from me, ebay UK is not that great if your looking for cards. just because i live here, at least for another month.
you may get lucky and find what you want but shipping is a killer and a British pound is over $2.
at any given time there is only a couple hundred cards total at a time and usually nothing good. (to me any ways)

No, depending on how the seller has it set up you pay the rate and it gets converted.

Ebay has it all set up so when you bid in dollars it converts to pounds.

    Good for you.

I've gotten a few decent cards also, some came wrapped in tissue paper and PWE. The seller I dealt with always charged $1 for shipping.
